Logitech MX Air mouse breaks all the rules meant for mice

Logitech seems to have been inspired by the sci-fi movies, sort of, as it has taken some kinda alien route with its MX Air Mouse. It breaks all the rules meant for mice as it not only works like run-of-the-mill mice on your desk but is able to work in mid-air too. Featuring the Logitech’s “Freespace” motion control, the Air Mouse coalesces MEMS sensors with DSP and 2.4GHz RF technology to make out physical movements in air.

The ingenious creation taken in some of the specs of the prior 3D finger mice and enriches the geeks with an instinctive way to playback multimedia content such as videos, music and slideshows. I am simply impressed with its touchpad surface (no scroll wheel) that makes me visualize iPhone’s touchscreen. Want to increase or decrease the volume from up to 30 feet away from your PC? Simply press the volume button and flick the mouse right or left. Isn’t it cool?

The Logitech MX Air rechargeable cordless Mouse is expected to hit the shelves in the U.S. and Europe in August for $149.99.
