The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is always a luxurious experience, whether you’re visiting as a future owner, a Monaco yacht broker, or a yachting industry enthusiast. But as the event prepares to return for its 28th year, it is set to be more opulent than ever, aiming to really tap into the yacht owner lifestyle and expand its cultural offering. Ultimately, this year’s Monaco Yacht Show will upgrade the visitor experience for all involved. So what’s can we expect this month at the popular Monaco boat show?

MYS 2018: New and expanding exhibition areas at the Monaco boat show

Monaco-Boat-ShowThe entire 2018 show will be organised into different themes, with exhibitors located according to the category they belong to. The popular superyacht lifestyle areas from previous years will be making a comeback, with a dedicated Tenders & Toys section, spread between Quai Jarlan and Quai Antoine Ier, providing the perfect platform to view cool new nautical leisure accessories. Future owners or owners’ representatives can look forward to shopping for the latest in hi-tech boat equipment in Darse Sud. Luxury goods and furnishings presented by prestige craftsmen will be found in Parvis Piscine. Meanwhile, the much-loved Car Deck affords a great opportunity to take a break from the marine and be wowed by the range of classic and luxury vehicles on show. It will be located in Quai Antoine Ier, next to the Starboard Lounge.

However, the biggest unveiling at this year’s Monaco Yacht Show will be the brand-new Art Pavilion, dedicated to the exhibition of artwork and sculpture. Free for all MYS attendees including Monaco yacht brokers, salespeople, press and owners, art fans will have the opportunity to meet the gallery owners and artists themselves, adding an extra touch of culture to an already sophisticated event.

This year’s restructuring of Quai des États-Unis will see waterside priority given to naval architects, shipyards and yacht brokers, who will be located right by the yachts they are presenting. A new display of superyachts will also be found nearby.

MYS 2018: New VIP experiences for buyers

Monaco-Boat-ShowThe Monaco boat show has always offered exclusive programs for buyers attending the event. However, this year it has stepped up its offer, with 2 VIP packages which have been specially crafted for visitors looking for a first charter experience, or first-time purchasers wanting to buy a superyacht from a yacht broker in Monaco. Although the VIP Sapphire Experience was available last year, 2018 will see the introduction of a Concierge Service for Sapphire Experience ticket holders, making it all the easier for individuals to go between exhibitor meetings. What’s more, the recent introduction of the Sapphire Experience Infinite means more luxury options will be on offer than ever before.

Monaco-Boat-ShowThe two packages comprise a range of elite perks including entry to the Monaco Yacht Summit, an invitation to the MYS Gala evening, a tour of the bay of Monaco on board the MYS VIP boat, lunch in the Upper Deck Lounge and a personal concierge service to organise private visits to the motor and superyachts on display in the show, such as YACHTZOO’s beautiful 67m M/Y ANNA I and many more.
