Wable: Keep track of your web activities

wable

Before I get on to the mechanism and the technicalities, let me give you what Wable actually is. It is meant to keep a record of your web activity. Now let’s find out how this cute toy-like thing works. Each of the colorful bars corresponds to one of your web services (Plazo, Flickr, Last.fm and del.icio.us). It is based on the concept that it is possible to visualize the changes of your web identity over a span of time and link your virtual identity with your real one. Whenever there is any kind of activity on the web, say, when you listen to music, bookmark a site, upload a picture, the corresponding bar will rise. The activities of each day is recorded to be viewed later with the help of the slider. This is enabled by its connection to a web application via Wi-fi, where you can add feeds to create your own web activity profile. A good idea. But I am really not sure how useful this is going to be. What exactly can I achieve by finding out about my own web activites?
