Tree sweaters in Ohio

tree sweaters in ohio

Who knew trees need sweaters? Trees themselves though were unaware of their winter needs but some residents in Ohio thought that trees were shivering in the cold and needed woolen attires. Carol Hummel is one of them who have worked on an art project entitled Tree Cozy where the crocheted cozy covering the bark and branches of the tree symbolizes femininity covering the masculine tree. Not only have some knitters at a southwest Ohio town wrapping up a pear tree with woolen sweaters but a few lucky trees in Indiana and West Virginia have become posts for displaying public knitting exhibitions. In Houston, the park benches are also being dressed up by some artists.
