I know of Moller’s Skycar that can fly, but flying bike was a surprise for me and I guess will be a surprise for you as well! An interesting article over at Neatorama steered us towards this awesome flying machine invented by former test pilot Larry Neal of Boyd, Texas called the Super Sky Cycle that rests somewhere between a bike and a motorcycle. The flying bike though looks like made from the junk in your backyard, goes as fast as 70 mph in the air and 60 mph on the road and is fully safe! Infact, Comagz reports, ‘It will float down slower than a parachute with the engine turned off at any altitude and land in a very small spot with the pilot in complete control.’ Besides, it requires a very short improvised runway for take-off and landing.
