When I described something as an ‘evolution in revolution’, then I thought the description would probably fit for wheel makers like Bridgestone, but then it ended up for a Yo-Yo! Of well, at least it is for something that looks really cool, stylish and is fun to play with. This yo-yo looks more like a little ‘Bond’ gadget or a piece out of Spielberg’s next sci-fi thriller. But it really is more than just another shiny toy in the hands of a kid.
This piece of engineering goodness is probably what a perfect yo-yo would look like. It surely is the best looking yo-yo I ever saw and is expected to dance to the tunes of your finger quite literally. It is called the ‘Power Brain High Performance yo-yo’ and to be very honest, I did not understand why it is named so. The term ‘power’ is obviously understandable and so is the term ‘brain’. But a simple and blatant merger of both is quite meaningless. Maybe they wanted to tell us that it has both the physical and technological strength. But still the name is quite odd to be honest.
But we are more bothered about the product and this cool piece comes with a smooth, piston-like, 4-way synchronized clutch system that engages simultaneously. This gives you prolonged spin time and super smooth automatic returns with the most advanced auto-return technology ever created. That is indeed a quite impressive resume to have-despite me not having a clue about how the whole technology in a yo-yo works.
I mean, basically it is just a yo-yo, so let us look at what matters the most. It has a size of 2 3/8″ in diameter, which means it is comfortable to handle. It handles beautifully and looks very cool in one’s hand. So as far as I’m concerned, it is pretty much a product you can’t fault. It is priced though at a good $7.48, which is probably not much for all the stuff it comes with. So is it a good buy? Yes, it is surely loads of fun.
