Here is a ‘Concept’ design that’s named ‘Napkin PC’ and as the name suggests it is a PC that is in a way connected to Napkins. Sounds funny, no?
Of all other things what I can say about such concept designs is that it’s really good that they are concept only as I can’t think of a reason why anyone (and I mean anyone) will be buying this thing if it turns out to be a real life product (which to me seems to be like a dream).
So called Napkin PC is a set of special Pens, Napkin (again special ones) and a base station (yeah, special one). Base station is a hidden PC and Napkins are screens linked to base station wirelessly. And if you haven’t guessed it already then all pens are input devices that work on special napkins.
I know I sound negative but I just can’t digest the idea of spending thousands on a hi-tech gadget which could easily be mistaken for real napkins by co-workers and can be treated like one too.
It could have been better if it was something like Table Mat PC, no?
