But I have to say, having one of these grenade-shaped jewelry cabinets in your home is a lot less subtle than having one of those laughing Buddha figurines that symbolize your support for the cause of free Tibet! Anywho, this astonishingly powerful jewelry cabinet is actually the creation of a team of Cuban contemporary artists who call themselves Los Carpinteros who have taken it upon themselves to send across the message about the repression of political free speech in Cuba today. I also love the fact that the hand grenade-like structure is meant to hold precious bits of jewelry which, I dare say says more about the success of communism in the Latin American nation!
