Being an amateur stargazer, I have always wished to get the information about these heavenly bodies instantly. As an aid to this the upcoming Celestron SkyScout seems like an ideal one for me, as it reveals what it is pointed at in spite of of its location.

This GPS enabled, portable gadget provides you on the spot commentary along with narrated audio and scrolling text about these space entities. It has a database of more than 6,000 plus entries through which it identifies these objects. Its ‘must see list’ guides the user to see 10 best things visible on a given night.

For updating software or for downloading new data Celestron SkyScout can be connected to a computer via USB. It’s built in SD card slot for additional data can offer Astronomy tutorials as well.

Celestron SkyScout will be on display in the forthcoming Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
