Braun Bell Mug – Precision pouring for the blind

Designers: Sang-hoon Lee and Yong-bum Lim

It’s a pleasing sight to see designers working to bridge the gap between the life of the visually impaired when compared to that of ours. We don’t expect an overnight change, nor will it happen. Little efforts, such as a mug that chimes when it’s full provide a ray of hope for achieving bigger results in the future. This Braun Bell mug has three indicative levels on the handle and liquid-level sensors within the mug. By pressing the desired level required, a bell would ring when the liquid hits the point. In short, even the blind can pour a glass of water without spilling it.
