Bionic eye is all set to return the gaze

bionic eye
Looks like the “gazer” will very soon become the “gazee” as a prototype for a new bionic eye (i.e., a retina replacement device, if you MUST insist on calling things by their scientific names!) has been developed by some very hard-working people over at the Boston Retinal Implant Program. The waterproof, durable eye-thingy is apparently sturdy and tiny enough to fit inside your eyeball and stay there for a good decade. A lot of very braniac people in lots of nerdy collages and hospitals have been trying to get this fake peeper working for a long time now and now that they are almost there, they have our best wishes with them for taking time out to help humanity. Somebody better get these people a Nobel or two!
