It’s the kind of stuff guitar collectors go through hell to lay their hands on. The FX-400 and FX-260 are not just guitars but living breathing entities in their own right. With set neck constructions on a 24.75” scale, both the ESP guitars feature a 5-pc mahogany neck with maple and rosewood fingerboards. While the FX-400 boasts of 42mm Earvana Compensated nuts, the FX-260 has standard 42mm nuts on it. The thin-U shaped necks are a true delight to hold, while the Abalone dot inlays and hardware in black nickel make it a must-have. With 22 XJ frets, no binding, Tune-o-matic bridge and Stop Tailpieces, the FX-400 uses Grover tuners and the FX-260 closely matches it with ESP-LTD. FX-400 also packs in a pickup of EMG 81 (B) / 60 (N) Active to FX-260’s EMG-ESP LH-300 Set while the latter leads with a Push-Pull Coil Split on Tone Control along with standard Toggle / Vol / Tone electronics also featured on the FX-400.
