Here is one mindblowing design concept that is sure to leave you gasping. Now, we all have seen the ubiquitous lampshade that abounds bedrooms world over, and this one too is a lampshade, albeit with a huge difference. Designer Nadine Sterk’s Sleeping Beauty Lampshade concept showcased at the Design Huis, Eindhoven is one design concept that is hogging all the limelight. This lampshade can actually grow, slow and steady, like a human being. Amazed? well, it is very true with the sleeping beauty lamp being able to knit its own lampshade, slow and steady at an ultra slow pace of 3 rotations per hour once you turn it on. Pun, definitely not intended. But don’t mind the slow speed though, for this is one lamp that can grow its own lampshade, and for this very virtue alone, we give this design a full ten. Though other details on how this lamp manages to do all this are not known at this moment, we’ll keep you posted as soon as we get hold of them. Watch this space.
