Whatâs so special about a doll house, only about a meter high, that a fan is ready to shell as much for which he can buy a real house on a UK property market? This 23-room masterpiece is a work of a retired builder from Hove, Sussex, named Peter Riches. Peterâs dream was to own a dream house, a Sussex Yeoman’s long-house, circa 1550, that eventually came true when a Canadian fan saw his creation online and placed an offer, which the builder accepted. Guess how much? What if I say – $69,900!
Yes, his persistent efforts for about 15 years, often staying up until 3 am, paid rich dividend earning him his dream house. It wasnât easy though! He made the homeâs shed out of plaster into which he hand-etched 32,000 bricks and had to cut these miniature 5,000 tiles for the roof. Well, that definitely canât take 15 years, but remember there are 23 rooms in all, each differently different than the other.
