Designing has always been about flexing your mind, letting your aesthetic instincts take over. So occasionally along comes something thatâs a bit uncommon, some might even say it is weird. Take young British designer Langton Steadâs newest piece of furniture for instance. This is designed as a garden fork, two for that matter â one on either end, and has to be stuck in ground where it readily doubles up as a seat. The innovation in this design is obvious and the fact that a tool can be turned into an instant lawn-seat is just darn amazing. So if youâre tired of, well, forking (better known as digging), stick-it-in to have a nice rest.
