Pillars or men?

illusione

Our eyes can play a variety of tricks on us. The instances of our minds attributing images to play of light, or shadows, are all too common. It will only take a hint, a suggestion of something and our mind takes off, constructing images out of nothing. The simulation software of our brains is very powerful indeed. For the scientific minded of the readers, the phantasms arising out of attribution by learning are called Cognitive illusions. Take the image of these pillars for example. The gaps between these columns, which are beautifully constructed by the way, give the impression of people. The hint is very strong and it fairly looks like the men are in some sort of communion. Now is that freaky or what?
