O’Neill Europe has announced the launch of a high performance unique jacket for mountains. The Navjacket will guide you in the mountains with the help of the integrated display on the sleeves and the audio instructions given through the speakers in the hood. You have to simply enter your desired location and the jacket, and it will guide you to reach there. Not only this, the display on the sleeve also includes your present speed, up-to-date local weather forecast, details of your route that includes time and speed. An additional feature added to all the above is the friend finder, by the help of which you can either locate your friends or will lead you to the same path through the slope of the mountains, they followed.
The Navjacket will be tested in selected areas in the Alps and then will be launched in Fall/Winter 2008. This GPS enabled jacket is going to prove to be a great help to the mountaineers because of all the special features in the jacket. The skiers and the snowboarders will feel relaxed after hearing about this jacket because these were the main problem they used to face.
