Empty Cola and beer cans are one of the biggest contributors to urban waste with 250 billion of them being trashed annually. For sometime now, people have tried to do their bit to reduce urban waste by putting these cans into a myriad of uses ranging from pen holders to pieces of abstract art. Inventor Johan De Broyer has gone a step further and has unveiled a cola can that can actually be reused. For this, he has invented a new way to reseal these cola cans. This will now make it possible for cola cans to be reused by consumers themselves. In Broyer’s way of resealing the can, you open the cola cans the conventional way by popping the tab but from here on things are done a little differently. To reseal the can, you just need to twist the tab. Very neat! Now that Broyer has come out with a simple but powerful innovation, it’s up to the cola and beer makers to take cue and put this innovation to commercial use.
