Japanese are up to root out the very word smell from every part of their lives, even from their shoes. A new shoe sponge that emits mint fumes is being introduced to fulfill the mission. The sponge pumps the min odor whenever the shoe hits the floor. I doubt, a new fragrance is on its way to explore Japanese streets, which will be a unique mixture, comprising of usual odors of foot, the shoes, socks, and mint. That sounds a bit scary.
