History: Argentina v England, played on 22 June 1986, was a football match between Argentina and England in the quarter-finals of the 1986 FIFA World Cup at the Estadio Azteca in Mexico City. It was a famous, controversial match where Diego Maradona, after fifty one minutes, scored via an illegal, but unpenalised handball, better know as the âHand of Godâ. Argentina won the game 2â1 and went on to win the 1986 World Cup with a victory over West Germany in the final. Maradona won the golden ball for player of the tournament.
My take: Well, Hand of God, in a way is a lucky charm. Whosoever, it was linked with went on to become famous. Letâs see what destiny has in store for Paul Grayhek. He is the latest person, after Maradona, who plans to make money by selling a piece of rock, which has an impression of the Godâs hand. This massive rock fell in his backyard, and is now available on eBay with a minimum bid of $100.
Paul says: “It cost me $10 plus to list it on eBay, if I got $100 bucks for it great but what I really want is $100,000”.
