Created by Japanese designer Nobuhiko Arikawa of Rice-Design for use at Orto Cafe, this line of tableware is made from an edible biscuit dough called hardtack. The mixture was traditionally used as emergency rations for sailors has now been put to use as designer cutlery that will let you help the planet in the most delicious way ever by letting you cut down drastically on operating your dishwasher. Of course the lazier of us will find it terribly exciting since after youâve finished off your sugary snack during the late night movie, you wonât have to move to fill it up again and you can simply munch on the bowl till you doze off.
