This cane is from the 1940s, has a map of Boston rolled in its thin belly. Crafted by the In-A-Cane Display Company, they created it for participants of American Legion National Convention.
It notes twenty-nine hotels and dozens of historical monuments.
It looks good and it’s your tourist guide in a cane, quite useful if you were in 1940s, but I wonder, what we can do with a cane in today’s world, instead of a goofy sword we can make it an ‘MP3 Cane’ or a cane with a ‘power drill’ perhaps, and who knows? What not? After all technology is going crazy, we might see James Bond sport a hi-tech cane.
