Brazilians soccer team Gigantes do Norte (Giants of the North) are really a great example of the great leveler that is the game of soccer. And for a country whose footballers have always been better loved for their flair rather than meachanical precision, this team composed entirely of dwarfs truly embodies the braziliansâ love for the beautiful game. Trying to taking on the sizeist attitude of the general public the Giants, with an averahe height of 4 ft., take on youth teams in 40-minute encounters in their hometown of Belem located in the north-east part of Brazil. The team who are managed by professional coach Carlos Lucena, have also managed to dish out decent performances in recent games using normal-sized goals manned by their tallest player who stands at 4â7â above the turf. Throw in a cinderalla and this story might just a be a modern day faiory tale! You gotta admre the courage of these giant-hearted small people.
